Dried plum exports increased by 21%

Outstanding performance of dried plums from Chile, which recorded a net increase of exports.

Exports of dried plums increased by 21% this year compared to the figures of 2013. The country exported 41,000 tons of dried plums with a value of approximately US $ 200 million.

These figures were announced at a meeting that brought together more than 300 producers and exporters of dried plums in the city of San Francisco Mostazal. The sector predicts for next year a production of 75,000 tonnes, of which 95% for export.
