Green light for Peruvian exports in Malaysia

The Malaysian market opens for Peruvian exports. The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru, Roberto Sánchez, reported that Malaysia has completed the internal procedures for the ratification of the Comprehensive and Progressive Treaty of Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).

 

This means that 90% of Peruvian products will be able to enter said market without tariffs as of November 29, 2022.

 

Sánchez recalled that in 2021, Peruvian exports to this Asian market totaled $100 million, and with the launch of the CPTPP these figures will continue to rise.
