Malaysia is experiencing a wave of hot weather and exceptionally dry, according to specialists, due to the El Nino weather phenomenon. Phenomenon that causes rains in the Pacific area and is in contrast to the drought in the western Pacific area.
The Ministry of Agriculture estimates that the production of Fruit & Vegetables in the country could fall by 20% if the warm weather continues.
The productions located in areas where water supply is continuous are spared, for now. The ministry suggests various techniques to conserve and better utilize the available water. Everything will depend on the duration of the hot and dry weather. If it continues or not. The weather experts predict its persistence until June.
