Napa wishes to become an alternative in the traditional ports of the Northern Europe.
The authorities of the ports of Koper, Trieste, Venice and Ravenna have created the Napa association (North Adriatic Ports Association) to join their strengths to increase the traffic.
In 2009, the ports of the Adriatic had signed a named agreement "North Adriatic Ports joint", which established the first links.
Napa strengthens and maximizes the synergies between ports, and allows presenting to the international markets a global offer and a front door privileged for the markets of the Central Europe.
Napa wishes to impose the ports of the Adriatic North as a real turntable, a European logistic platform for the business and the exchanges between Extreme Orient and Central and Eastern Europe.
Napa plans important investments to manage the predictable increase of the traffic and as well the obtaining of economic supports of the European Union for the construction of a network of modern infrastructures.
