Good Start For Citrus Exports

A remarkable increase has been registered in citrus exports in September.

The recorded increase for citrus in September 2014 is 29 % in quantity and 47 % in value. The first item exported this month is lemon, with about 56 thousand tons, which represents 85 % of the exported citrus.

Russian Federation remains the leading importer country with 22 thousand tons and an increase of 110 % in quantity and 119 % in value, comparing with September 2013.   

The biggest increase is observed in Saudi Arabia citrus exports, with an increase of 127 % in quantity.
