Chilean grape exporter implements AI-powered quality control software

Clarifruit, AI-powered Quality Control software for the fresh produce industry, announces a successful commercial implementation with Santa Maria (Compañia Frutera Santa Maria S.A.), a grape exporter that works with growers in Chile and ships their grapes worldwide. 

The Clarifruit’s cloud-based Quality Control (QC) software platform, which is a set of a mobile app for the inspector and a Management & Analytics dashboard for the QC director, enables stakeholders of the fresh fruit and veg supply chain to make smart data-driven decisions and minimize waste. 

The AI-driven platform utilizes its own computer-vision technology to evaluate product quality, and its customizable web application digitally designs and manages QC operations, automatically generating reports and analytics.

Andres Flores, Technical Manager at Santa Maria, highlighted that before utilizing Clarifruit, their QC inspectors had to write down their QC results manually and then put it to Excel spreadsheets. The Clarifruit platform enabled them to obtain accurate, real-time data uploaded at the moment of inspection to a single management dashboard. “The real-time visibility turned out to be a game-changer for our company.”, says Flores.
