The end of the season is approaching for Spanish lemons

Europe is the most important market for lemons from Argentina when Spain leaves the market.
The variety VERNA took over in May after the last fruits of the FINO variety, according to the forecasts the production could reach 206 000 tons (360 000 tons last season) by the end of June.
Despite the expected decline in production (around 40%), the fruits have beautiful sizes. This drop in production could result in a shorter season. Some professionals believe that the campaign will not go beyond mid-June.
June is usually the transition month between the northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere. The lemons from Argentina arrive on the European market followed by those from South Africa.
