The plum "Grenadine"

Mr. Malossane from the company LES DELICES is the producer of stone fruits in the Drôme (26).

This year Mr. Malossane produced and brought to the market a new variety of plum : plum " Grenadine " . This new variety has the particularity of having a garnet color of skin and yellow flesh. Its sugar level rises from 15 to 16 ° Brix , which is well above the other varieties ( 12 or 13 ° Brix ) . This plum has a very aromatic flesh and the skin is not acidic .

The size is 55 / 6O . The production forecast is 50 tons in the next three years . The harvest is scheduled from mid-August.
