Macfrut 2023: Record-breaking exhibition with diverse representation and unique approach
“A fantastic edition!”. This is how the president of Macfrut, Mr. Renzo Piraccini, described Macfrut 2023.
This year’s edition stood out for a diverse representation of buyers from African countries, as well as Latin America, Asia, and Europe. The exhibition space has been expanded, featuring 2 additional halls with respect to the previous edition, to accommodate fruit and veg professionals from all over the world.
Mr. Piraccini commented: "Our exhibition has a 40-year history: 32 years were spent in Chisena, and the second life began in 2015 when we arrived in Rimini. Since then, we have grown by 10% - 15% every year. This year, we increased our area by 35% YoY, reaching more than 60,000 square meters, and hosting about 1,200 exhibitors, 38% of them are foreigners. And the increase of +50% YoY of the foreign exhibitors is impressive."
Mr. Piraccini further explained: "I asked myself why Macfrut continues to grow while other trade shows do not. I believe that some exhibitions are focused solely on the largest companies and business meetings. Macfrut stands out because we offer our exhibitors a different experience. Our strategy is designed not only for business but also for knowledge, experience, and communication. This approach is ideal for medium-sized companies."
Macfrut 2023 closes with a record number of visitors. A total of 49,700 visitors crowded the pavilions of Rimini Expo Center during the three days, increasing by 29% compared to the previous year. The 40th edition goes down in history for the quality of the visitors, the highly specialized level proposals, and the great international growth of exhibitors and visitors.
