The British Soft Drinks Association has said that retail fruit juice prices could increase by 25 percent.
The recent hurricanes in Florida have reduced production there by about 17 percent, while in Poland dry weather has meant that apple juice supplies are down by around 10 percent.
According to the trade association, UK consumers drink about 1,200 million litres of fruit juice a year - with orange juice making up the bulk of the market at 70 percent and apple juice second at 13 percent.
