Last week, a shipment of 11.7 tons of fresh blueberries from Peru arrived at the port of Tianjin after a 34-day sea voyage.
This is the first time fresh blueberries from South America have been delivered to a port in northern China. After arrival, the fruits were transported via cold chain logistics to the Xinfadi Fruit and Vegetable Trade Center in Gaobeidian, Hebei, according to a Latin media outlet.
This successful shipment was made possible by the Port of Tianjin's Fruit Express service, which is a key part of its direct shipping routes from South America.
