Lower income from ginger exports in the first 2 months of 2022

In the first two months of 2022, Peruvian ginger (kion) exports totaled 11,471,428 kilos worth $15,119,879, according to Agrodata platform. These figures show an increase in volume compared to the 7,066,841 kilos exported in 2021, and a decrease in value from $19,433,653.
The main destinations in the period analyzed in 2022 were the US with $8,372,404 (55% of the total), the Netherlands with $2,511,447 (17%), South Korea with $992,362 (7%), Canada with $714,198 (5%), Germany with $584,602 (4%), Spain with $563,245 (4%), the United Kingdom with $423,762 (3%), Russia with $356,995 (2%), and other countries that together constituted 4% of the total and accumulated $600,864.
