Significant rise in garlic exports in the first 2 months of 2022

Peruvian garlic exports between January and February 2022 totaled 2,186,668 kilos worth $3,480,314, according to a report from the Agrodata portal. These figures reveal a significant increase compared to the 918,504 kilos shipped in the same period of 2021 for $2,321,779.

The main destinations of these exports in 2022 were the United States, with placements of $1,364,984 (39% of total shipments), Ecuador with $838,465, Mexico with $533,556, Australia with $341,056, the United Kingdom with $150,678 and others countries that together accumulated up to $251,575.

It should be noted that in all of 2021, Peru exported fresh garlic for $21 million.
