Expansion of organic farming

New regulations on organic products have been implemented in Japan since 2001. Volumes available on the Japanese organic market have dropped from USD3 billion in 2000 to USD250 million in 2001. Even if prices are high, the demand remains very strong, notably in fruit and vegetables. (source : cfce)
