Mercalicante increased its activity

Thanks to an increase in volume and in value, figures of Mercalicante activity are positive.

Very satisfactory report for Mercalicante who saw an increase of its activity in volume and in value over the first 5 months of the year.

Mercalicante reached in volume 30,4 million kilos which is a 6 % increase compared to 2009.

While potatoes decreased of 5,2 %, fruits progressed of 8,3 % and 4,8 % for vegetables.

The reached value is 35 million euro, an increase of 3 % compared to 2009.

While the price of sold potatoes decreased in 4,8 %, fruits price increased by 1,1 % and 8,1 % for vegetables.

Council and the General Assembly approved the accounts and maintain the Strategic Plan on 2010-2012 to reduce the costs (interest charges and running costs).

Mercalicante plans the pricing for access and for car park.
