Argentina
Wednesday 16 January 2008
As it is predicted by USDA in 2008 in Argentina there could be fall in production of apples about 9%. This diminished crop of apples is due to harsh winter that affected vast areas of Andian apples groves.
The production of apples in 2008 will be 1.000,000 tons, about 100,000 less comparing to the volume harvested in previous year. Likewise the export of Argentine apples will diminish about 20,000 tons what means 7% less than in 2007.
