Albertsons given green light to buy Shaws.

US antitrust authorities have given US retailer Albertsons the go ahead to acquire the Shaws supermarket chain from Sainsburys.
The deal involves 202 Shaws supermarkets which have been owned by Sainsburys for 20 years and is worth around US$ 2.5 billion.
Sainsburys is selling its US chain to focus on its core UK operations.
