The Gabès region is the largest producer and exporter of pomegranates.
This year's crop of pomegranates will reach a record high.
Crops are estimated at 28,000 tons. In the country, 17 varieties are cultivated and harvested later in December.
The largest producing region of Gabes, exports to Libya, Europe and the Gulf countries. In Europe, Germany is the largest customer of organic pomegranates from Tunisia.
