Despite an increase in planted area, potato harvest may be down in NEPG
Through the North-Western European Potato Growers (NEPG) area, there are many signals that the next harvest will be much smaller, and that quality problems will be a major challenge.
Extreme drought and record temperatures have been observed in the main producing countries in Europe.
It is too early today to accurately estimate the 2018 harvest. Due to quality issues, gross yields and net returns could be quite different.
