Israeli experts have developed new techniques to produce grapes in winter.
Winter grapes ? Yes, according to the Ministry of Agriculture indicates that existing variety of grapes could be grown during the winter months.
In the south of the country, agricultural experts have used innovative methods, including special techniques for pruning and plastic tarpaulins to cover the vineyards, to "force" the grapes to ripen during the cold season.
These innovative methods will allow farmers to grow and produce from January to April. The sale period would be extended accordingly.
