The Tel Aviv wholesale market is to stay open until May 18th before it moves to new premises.
The market was due to close sooner, but the new market is not yet ready.
Some 11 thousand tons of fruit and vegetable pass through Tel Aviv's wholesale fruit and vegetable market every week, making up some 35 percent of the weekly volume of fruit and vegetable produce sold in the country.
Thousands of new apartments are planned be built on the market's current location.
