Total Produce increases its profits

Excellent performance for the fruit and vegetable distributor Total Produce which has announced a 18% increase in profits and  + 7% of its turnover.

For 2010, profit before tax increased 18.4% reaching € 33.6 million against € 28.4 million in 2009. Revenues rose of 7% last year and reached € 2.6 billion.

 
Commenting on these results, Total Produce said its fresh produce division has performed well for the year, helped by a strong second quarter , which offset a slowdown in the first 6 months of 2010. Its activities in the euro area and in Scandinavia have been strong, while in the United Kingdom the year had been difficult due to bad weather at the beginning of 2010.
