Exports towards China strongly increased

The Chilean exports towards China increased by 32,6 % a year.
A report indicates that the Chilean exports towards China knew a strong growth.
4 years after agreements of free exchange between Chile and China, the Head Office of the international economic relations (Direcon) evaluated the situation.
Exports towards China increased at an average rate of 32,6 % a year. The report notes that at this day, 95 % of the Chilean products enter China with tariffs at zero, as metals and fruits & vegetables, which form an important part of the exports.
Imports from China increased from 40 % in 2007 and 39,2 % in 2008 making China the 2nd Chile’s supplier.
