The Japanese group Niko Niko Do files for bankruptcy

According to press, the Japanese supermarket operator, Niko Niko Do, is filing for bankruptcy after having accumulated EUR 844 million debts. The groups, which ran 44 stores, would have tried to diversify its activities into textile and hotel management. The US giant, Wal-Mart, may be interested in new acquisitions in Japan.
