Asparagus exports continue to grow

Peru announces a further increase in exports of asparagus (fresh and canned) .

ADEX (Asociación de Exportadores ) Exporters Association said that for the beginning of the year ( January-February) asparagus exports reached USD 74.9 million , exceeding the amount by + 6.4% compared to the same period in 2014.

For these two months , the main destination was the United States with 41.3% of total exports and 30.9 million USD turnover is up  to12.1 % growth .

Spain occupies the second place with USD 11.3 million (15.1% of total shipments ) . Then forty countries including the United Kingdom, Germany , Japan, Italy, Brazil, Australia , Belgium, Switzerland, Chile, Canada and Sweden.
