10 candidates for the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award 2014

Selection of 10 candidates by the jury composed of industry experts (production, quality management, wholesale and retail, packaging industry and services) for FLIA 2014 :

3. BrimaPack BV, Netherlands: "Extended Shelf Life packaging for Broccoli" - Packaging for broccoli which extends the conservation limit date

4. Eisberg Group, Switzerland: "BBQ Grill-Mix" - A new product of convenience for fans of barbecue

5. Home Harvest Salads Ltd, UK: "Living Oriental Mixed Salad" - Oriental Mix of salads,

6. Ifco Systems GmbH, Germany "returnable container foldable for bananas" - the world banana trade, from production to point of sale

7.International Fruchtimport Gesellschaft Weichert, Germany: "Uurú, primitive banana" - Organic Banana from Ecuador intense exotic taste

8. Tokita Seed, Japan: "Fioretto" - Cauliflower with a long stem and small heads

9. Verpackungszentrum Graz, Austria: "Filet compostable cellulose beechwood" - Preserves resources to production, ecological composting

10. ZTI Mechatronics BV, Netherlands: "Equeuteur Grapes" - A machine that separates the seeds of the cluster.

These 10 innovations will be presented during Fruit Logistica 2014 (from 5 to 7 February 2014) on the dedicated exhibition surface located between Halls 20 and 21. Visitors can vote for the first 2 days of the show to elect the innovation of the year. The winner will be awarded Friday, February 7, 2014 at 14 hours 30 during a prize ceremony .
