According to the Turkish National Institute of Statistics, after the fateful crisis of the airplane in November 2015, relations between Turkey and Russia are normalizing, according to statistics obtained on trade with Russia. The figure covers all product categories, but it should be noted that the biggest increase is in fruit exports.
We are still far from the 912 million dollars of the first quarter of 2015 but it seems clear that despite the blockage on certain products, trade between the two countries is regularized despite the Russian embargo that persists for many products. While fresh fruits and nuts were exported at a value of $ 50 million for the period January, February, March 2016, the value of exports of these products for the same period in 2017 reached $ 88 million.
Turkish imports of legumes and vegetable or animal oils from Russia are falling.
