Starr Ranch Growers will partner with the emoji® company on licensed apples, pears and cherries.
Starting this summer Starr Ranch Growers will include emoji® brand icons on packages of its top selling varieties such as Gala, Honeycrisp and Fuji in an "apple snaq" pouch bag. Agreement was achived by the emoji company and its North American licensing agent, Retail Monster.
"Everyone knows the strong and expressive emoji® brand symbols" said Starr Ranch CEO Brett Reasor. "They encourage engagement in real-time, and add a personal element to our marketing strategy. We're excited to use the new emoji® brand icons on packaging to speak to younger generation and encourage two-way communication. We are also proud to be the first US manufacturer to partner with emoji®.”
In addition to humanizing a brand, marketing and brand specialist Krista Beckstead said that emoji® brand icons can boost engagement with social media marketers. “Facebook posts using icons, for example, get 57 percent more likes and 33 percent more comments and shares than those without them, and tweets with icons have a 25 percent higher rate of engagement,” - Krista explained.
