Increase of Turkish citrus exports by 44%

Lemon is also the most exported fresh product with almost 70,000 tonnes, more than 35% in quantity and 42% in value compared to February 2017. But it is the easy peelers, in second place, who hold the record with an increase of 98% in value. Oranges come in 4th position and pomelos in 7th position. The total amount of citrus fruit exported in February exceeded 233,000 tonnes.
Russia is the main buyer of lemons, pomelos and easy peelers, while Iraq has imported half of the oranges. Saudi Arabia is far behind. Romania, Poland, Ukraine and Serbia are among the other importing countries. The only European country to be in the top 5 is Holland, accounting for 7% of total pomelo exports.
