Mushrooms filter the air and reduce pollution.
A research team in Hong Kong discovered that mushrooms had virtues to filter the ambient air.
Some barriers of plastic boxes filled with mushrooms were installed along the main roads and a decline of the rate of air pollution has been noted.
Concentrations of nitrogen and dioxide decreased of 50 % in 10 minutes then of 19 %. Reduction of the noise of 3 decibels.
The variety of used mushroom is "pleurote".
