39% increase in Mexico-Japan trade

Sharp increase in trade relations between Mexico and Japan.
Since the entry into force of the economic partnership (Acuerdo de Asociación Económica), trade rose by 39% between 2005 and 2012, rising from 14,548 million dollars in 2005 to 20,268 million in 2012, with an average annual rate of 7%. Japan has become the 4th global partner of Mexico and the 3rd in Asia after China and India.
As for Mexican exports, 63% are manufacturing products (telephones, automobiles) and 29% food. Some products have risen by almost 40% as avocados, melons and mangoes.
