This region, which produces 26,000 tonnes of high quality cherries, gets very good export price, about $ 4.60 per pound.
Bursa, despite adverse weather conditions, expects to achieve export figures of 2012 continuing to export fruits until mid-August.
In addition. the exporters are negotiating with China and Japan to achieve the highest quality standards required by these countries as well as South Africa.
Turkey is the second largest exporter of cherries in the world after the United States, with an export of about 57 000 tonnes. The main importing countries are Germany, Bulgaria, Italy, Russia, England.
