Pakistan expects a good oranges crop

Heavy monsoon rains have given positive results, and Pakistan expects a large harvest of oranges.
The reports are very encouraging for next season. Production could reach 2.5 million metric tons and would increase exports. The threshold of 200 000 tons exported last year would be exceeded.
The season starts in mid-October and lasts until April, exports usually begin in mid-December. The main buyers are Russia and Ukraine, importing half of Pakistan's total shipments, then, the Middle East, Iran, Bangladesh, Eastern Europe and recently Indonesia and Malaysia.
