More nectarines and peaches in Emilia-Romagna region in Italy

According to data furnished by the Centre of Horticulture Service (CSO) in 2006, the growers joined in Consortium of Peaches and Nectarines in region of Emilia-Romagna collected total crops of 15.000 quintals of peaches and 22.000 quintals of nectarines.
Fresh produce market specialists noted certain change in consumption trend among the clients of these fruit. There is recently a growing number of consumers who returned to nectarines - 17% increase in the period of time 2000 - 2006 while the number of peach consumers is still falling down.
