Strawberries: stability of areas for the next season

 

FRESHUELVA, the Strawberry Producers and Exporters Association, estimated that plantations will occupy 5,500 hectares, the same as last year. The strawberry plantations will begin in early October.

 

 

 

The sector is confident for this new campaign and hopes for favorable weather conditions for good growth of plants and fruits.

 

 

 

The 2017/18 season ended with a production of 280,300 tonnes of strawberries. In terms of prices, the season was complicated and marked by a great fluctuation. As much in terms of the volume of production that has fluctuated due to climatic hazards, as the demand that has also experienced downward as well as upward trends.
