Export of vegetables more expensive in Poland

Initial export results for period of time January-February 2007 show that Poland sold abroad less quantities of fresh vegetables but their value increased comparing to previous year's export.
In two first months of 2007, Poland exported 48.200 tons of fresh vegetables - it means one-fourth less than in previous year. This sale brought 17,8 millions of EUR - 20% more than in two first months of 2006. Export of tomatoes, cucumbers, cauliflowers, onions and cabbages influenced the most the increase of value of our vegetable sale in the beginning of 2007. For example, the sale of onions (15.200 tons) was 60% lower but value of this sale increased 6% (7,8 million EUR) and the price rose twice to the level of 0,51 EUR/kg.
