MEDFEL is the only large exhibition that allows producers and traders in the southern and northern Mediterranean to learn, share, and do business.
Businesses from the Mediterranean will be present at Medfel, which opens in three weeks.
The fruit and vegetable industry is of prime importance in the countries of southern and eastern Mediterranean and counts for 2 million jobs. Leaders are Turkey and Egypt, which together produce nearly 70 2% of fruits and vegetables from countries of the southern and eastern Mediterranean.
The sector also weighs heavily in the Mediterranean member countries
of the European Union, including Italy (25% of European production) and Spain (22%).
Fruit and vegetables are one of the pillars of trade between different countries around the Mediterranean. The MEDFEL trade show is the only one its kind in the Mediterranean created to showcase the products and expertise in this sector to over 5,000 professionals worldwide.
