Swiss strawberry season started

In last few days thanks to higher temperature, on Switzerland market appeared bigger volume of fresh strawberries.

 

 

The first strawberries were harvested even from the beginning of May and the main harvest is expected in the first three weeks of June.

 

 

Swiss farmers count on the total volume around 5400 tons.

 

 

In Switzerland strawberries are grown on the area of 421 hectares mainly in central and eastern parts of this country.
