Blueberry production is expected to double in 5 years

The strong demand and the increase of plantation will result in doubling the global production of blueberry in the next 5 years.

The blueberries season in South America is coming to an end. Peru, Argentina and Chile are the main producers. The United States have increased by 30% its imports from Chile, due to delay in California production.

Demand is sharply increasing worldwide. Europe will increase its own production with plantations in Spain, Germany, Poland and France. Elsewhere, plantations also multiply like in China or in South Africa.

That's why professionals believe that global production of blueberries will almost double over the next 5 years.
