Asda to enter Northern Irish market

Wal-Mart owned Asda is to enter the Northern Ireland market after agreeing to buy 12 Safeway stores from Morrison's. Asda has said that it will retain all of the existing Safeway staff and plans to create 250 new jobs by the end of the year. It also plans to invest £30 million on modernisation and refurbishment of the stores.
