Musgrave acquires Londis for £60 million

Irish food distributor Musgrave has purchased UK convenience store group Londis for £60 million. Londis operates about 2000 stores which are owned by the individual shopkeepers. Under the terms of the deal, the shopkeepers will retain ownership of the stores, while Musgrave will supply most of the goods that they sell.
