An almost perfect season 2014-15

New record production and net increase in the volume of exports to an almost perfect 2014-15 season .

ASOEX , the Association of Exporters and the Blueberry Committee announced that exports of fresh blueberries ( ARANDANOS ) totaled 91,000 tonnes in 2014-15 . The initial objective of 100,000 tonnes exported is not reached.

Production exceeded 5% of the volumes of the 2012-13 season , and the figure of 91 000 tonnes of exported blueberries representing an increase of 22% compared to 2013-14.

In terms of markets: North America ( USA and Canada) remains the largest market with 67 % of exports and growth of + 20%. The European markets realize 27% growth rate and Asia 40%, China with 45% and South Korea 49% .
