New easy-to-peel grapefruit

An easy-to-peel grapefruit has been launched by Tesco in The UK. The Dragon Citrus or huyou, which is as easy to peel as an orange, was "discovered" by a Tesco buyer on a buying visit to China. The fruit has all the nutritional benefits of a grapefruit but is easier to eat. It is grown in China's south east province of Zhejiang, and is harvested by hand between December and February. Tesco will trial the fruit for 6 months in around 500 stores.
