Fewer citrus fruits, more fruits exported in November.

According to their figures, the export of fruit increased by 67% in quantity and by 75% in value to reach more than 114 000 tonnes while the export of citrus fruits decreased by 12% in quantity and by 11% in value. in comparison with November 2016.
Mandarin was the most exported fresh product with 37% of total exports, lemon comes in second, despite a drop of 15% and grapes in third place.
It is actually the exports of grapes that have increased dramatically compared to the same period last year, by 200 percent in quantity. Grapes account for 42% of all exported fruits. But an increase in exports of all fruits has been noted. Pomegranate is the third most exported fruit, with 20% of total exports.
Russia has the lion's share of fruit exports (36%), followed by Italy (19%) and Germany (7%). However, Iraq remains the biggest exporter of vegetables.
The decline in the citrus crop, expected early in the season, has been boosted by the bad weather of recent weeks on Antalya and Mersin. Exports of oranges, in particular, decreased by 25% in quantity compared to November 2016.
