New administration board for Intercitrus

The General Assembly of Intercitrus, the trade association of citrus in Spain, has elected a new administration board.

 
The new President is Felipe Juan, succeeding to Juan Safont. With him, five new vice presidents were elected:

For the Production sector:

• Enrique Belles,
• Jorge Garcia.

For trade and industry sector:
• José M Planells,
• Jose Martinez,
• José Antonio García.

 
In its speech, the new president has called on the need for dialogue and consensus between all links of the chain for the benefit of the entire industry. The Assembly ratified the standard contract for the sale of oranges and mandarins for next season 2011/2012. The contract, more accurate in every detail, should resolve conflicts by encouraging mediation and arbitration.
