The harvest 2015 will be below average

The potato harvest has experienced very average weather conditions ( spring moisture , dryness and heat in the summer ) : quality is average to good , templates are small.

For this harvest 2015, average yields are expected to reach 269 kg per are. Almost to the lowest level recorded in 2013 (262 kg / are ) . Compared to the last 5 years, the 2015 returns are 25% below the average.

According to estimates , the potato area decreased by almost 350 hectares, compared to the previous year and amounted to 10,981 hectares ( 2014: 11,330 ha).
