Plums season starts off in Ukraine

Based on the recent information, first local plums have appeared within domestic markets of Ukraine this week. According to the latest data, supply of local plums has appeared to be quite limited at the current moment in Ukraine. Plums prices verify from 0,4 – 0,6 EURO/kg this week in Ukraine. It stands to mention that current plums season has started exactly at the same time comparing to the previous year, while plums prices approximately 2 times exceed last season figures. With reference to the local market specialists, significantly high prices for plums were preliminary predicted by local agronomists, as due to hard frosts in winter 2015 dramatically strong damage has been impaired  to this kind of fruits.
