The holiday period of Halloween promotes pumpkins and their producers.
A farmer of the South Dakota, Mr Marsh, has just won the prize of the biggest pumpkin of the State: 1674 pounds (759 kg), that is 51 pounds of the record of the world.
This producer began to cultivate huge pumpkins 7 years ago. Last year, he had harvested a pumpkin of 1488 pounds (674 kg).
He indicated that he did not use any special products but only good genetic and cross pollonization.
