Visit of international buyers organized by Saint-Charles Export

As every year, member companies of Saint-Charles Export participated in a reception of international buyers.


This visit of buyers from Switzerland, including representatives of a large group simultaneously distributor, wholesaler and importer, spread over 3 days. Visits of the market gardening productions of the department, discussions on the future campaigns of stone fruits. These buyers appreciated the strong presence of companies able to offer complementary products in terms of range and timing compared to Swiss production. They were also interested in the capacity of the platform's companies to provide logistics, to group together whole or mixed pallets, and to manage the customs formalities required by Switzerland.


During their visit to Saint-Charles Export member companies, these buyers were able to enjoy the tomatoes, salads, peppers, artichokes, oranges that were presented to them, or to discuss the nectarines and apricots that will arrive soon.


A real business climate was established throughout this mission, allowing these buyers to see the products, to observe the handling operations and the quality controls operated in warehouses, but also to visit the facilities under cold conditions, greenhouses or packing stations and shipping.


All the conditions were in place for these meetings to be a real success, and their initial objective to fully understand the operation of the platform and to meet the key interlocutors is fully satisfying.
