White cabbage prices tend to rise in 2013 in Russia

Most of the producers have sold out stocks of white cabbage till the middle of January 2013.

 

 

As a result Russian market is short of low quality cabbage now. Taking into account shortage of white cabbage, farmers have started to slow down high quality cabbage sales. This factor led to price explosion in Russian market.

 

 

 

Today prices for cabbage stored in warehouses have raised up to 0,20 - 0,22 EURO / kg, this change is quite impressive comparing to prices for cabbage in the beginning of the month - 0,15 - 0,18 EURO / kg.

 

 

 

In Northern parts of Russia price for cabbage is even higher - 0,27-0,29 EURO / kg. This price trend creates rather favourable terms for importing of Ukrainian cabbage to Russian market.
